Help Haiti

January 21, 2010

The enormity of the earthquake disaster in Haiti has left many of us feeling agonizingly helpless. The reports being sent through the news tell a tale of overwhelming destruction and devastation and the need for help and support is great. It is clear that money is a sure necessity there. We would like to help.

On Friday, January 29th, we held a telethon to help raise funds which we quickly sent off to aid in the relief efforts already underway in Haiti. Our staff and students manned the phone lines and took your pledges of financial support. Although you may have already made a contribution on your own we encourage you to give again. This is a great way to show our students the meaning of community and importance of altruism.

We have sent the money collected to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (CBHF). President Obama asked President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush to help raise funds for the people of Haiti and the CBHF. This charity is designed to provide immediate relief and long term support to survivors. Our Presidents wrote, “We will channel the collective goodwill around the globe to help the people of Haiti rebuild their cities, their neighborhoods and their families.” We investigated the fund and found that 100% of the monies raised go directly to relief efforts.

Please join us in our mission to provide help and support to Haiti.

Call us at 732-422-7900 x 210, x211, or x212. A student or staff member will be waiting to take your pledge.

Thank you for joining us in our efforts.
