Community Experiences
The New Road Schools give students the opportunity to take their learning out of the classroom and into the community. We work with students to practice the skills they have developed in our schools in the real world. School staff accompanies students to volunteer or paid job sites in the community, including restaurants, hospitals, preschools, retail stores, and other small businesses. We utilize our partnerships with community businesses to give students real-life work experience and interactions, which in turn give the students opportunities to explore career avenues and gain valuable work experience and skills to place on their resume.
